Why I’M A Godaddy Customer (Godaddy Review)?
Every company or service have some strong and weak points, there are many reasons to criticize Godaddy.
1)Their website is crappy overloaded with product descriptions and prices
2) Their checkout process is lengthy as they make too many offers during the checkout
3) Their hosting control panel is complicated and different from most of the hosts
4) They launch stupid and sexually suggested marketing campaigns
5) Their customer service is a little bit slow as there is no live chat option
Besides all this criticism Godaddy is still my favorite company because I need their services to show my presence on the internet. This blog is also hosted by Godaddy (Update: This blog is now shifted to hostgator) and I always prefer them for domain registration.
1) World Biggest Registrar And A Reliable Host
Godaddy is world biggest domain name registrar that offers domain names at cheap prices. Few years before domain name prices were much higher than they are now but credit goes to Godaddy they really captured domain name industry from register.com and Yahoo by offering domains at low prices.
There are companies that offer domain names at even lower prices but it is not a good idea to buy domains from such companies as these are mostly resellers of registrars and you don’t know that they will exist at the time of renewal or not.
You can hardly find any difference among the top hosts i.e. Godaddy, Hostgator and 1and1 but I think Godaddy hosting has many weaknesses (user friendly wise) and its control panel is much more complicated.
2) Reseller Account And Domain Parking
Your reseller store is fully customized store where you can offer all Godaddy services to your customers with out any technical requirements as all back end operations are handled by Godaddy.
I’M not a great fan of domain parking philosophy but if you want to park your domain then Godaddy and Sedo are best platforms for this purpose.
3) Domain Auctioning
Godaddy auctions are heavily marketed and it’s a great place where you can sell your domains at premier prices.
Bottom Line!
I personally dislike many things about Godaddy especially their marketing strategies. I don’t even like Bob Parsons (CEO OF Godaddy) blog and I think he publish stupid videos. But still I’M Godaddy customer because its one place where I can find variety of services.
