Personal Blogging And Niche Blogging! Which One To Choose
Starting personal blog is a good idea? I’ve seen this question on various forums and I just want to share my thoughts on this issue.
Why Personal Blogging?
Personal blogging is a great hobby, you can share your life and experiences with others! It’s just like a modern form of daily diary. But people have their own problems they are not interested in what you eat, what you drink and when you go to sleep. It would be much better if you can step up and solve other’s problems rather than asking others to solve yours.
No Potential Traffic From Search Engines! Obviously No Income
If you create a niche blog then you can target a large pool of visitors who have issues related to your niche. Personal bloggers can’t target traffic generating keywords because people are not searching for them.
You cannot use Google adsense on personal blogs and you cannot recommend any thing because you not an expert.
Bottom Line!
In short, personal blogging is not a business and if you want make money from blogging then you must choose a niche. You can give your blog a little bit personal touch later on after gaining considerable traffic and loyal base of readership.
