Reciprocal Link Exchange Is Dead?

Posted by admin | May 9, 2009 .

link exchangeSome people spend a lot of time on sending link exchange offers to other webmasters! Can it really help? I don’t think so because current search engine algorithms don’t give much importance to such links.

Goggle’s View On Link Exchange

If we go few years back in history then there were many link exchange schemes most sites used to have a separate page just to exchange links with others. Spammers exploited this opportunity and started using link exchange softwares to build thousands of reciprocal links. But now things doesn’t work like that Googgle has its clear view on link exchange schemes.

Why Link Exchange

There are a lot of ways to build quality one way links. In my previous posts I talked about the benefits of having multiple sites (Snapping Expired Domains) and internal linking with proper anchor text, I strongly believe that these two are the best ways to build valuable links. More over you can also spend time on directory submission, article syndication, forum participation and other common link building techniques as well.

In my view there is no benefit of exchanging links. You are giving outbound link to and receiving inbound link from the same site! It does not make any sense.
