BumpIn Live Chat Widgets For Your Blog OR Site

BumpIn is a live chat application! You put a small widget on your site and your visitors on any particular page can chat with each other. Nowadays I’ve seen many sites using BumpIn and other similar kind of chatting widgets but I’M personally not a great fan of this concept.

BumpIn widgets are quite attractive and I don’t think there is any flaw in the application but I’M a bit concerned about its use.

Live Chat Is Almost Dead

If we go few years back in history then there were many popular live chat services like Yahoo Chat, Msn Chat and AOL Chat. But now its social media’s rule people can spend time on Facebook, Myspace and Twitter and most of these free live chat services are almost dead. I don’t think you can get much benefit by putting live chat widgets on your blog.

Vulnerable To Spam

Even biggest companies have failed to control spam in their live chat services then how you can fight with spammers on your site. Your competitors and some bad people around will try to take full advantage of it which can hurt your credibility.
